The Russian state tendering systemThe Russian state tender system publishes tenders for all public sector purchases over 500 000 Roubles (about €5 000). Utilities, large state owned companies must also tender through the same system. Some private companies also do so. Over 40% of Russian GDP is on the system. Requests range from jars of honey to spacecraft. Only a handful of defence and space tenders are excluded.
