The teleconference was held on April16. The Rosselkhoznadzor initiated consultations to discuss exports of Chilean blueberries to Russia. It was noted that 410 tons of Chilean blueberries were imported to Russia within 3.5 months of 2019, whereas only 300 tons were imported within the 12 months of 2018. Thereat the products were re-exported through the territory of the Netherlands.
In order to avoid entry of sanctioned products into the territory of Russia, the Rosselkhoznadzor addressed to the Chilean side with a request to confirm the fact of blueberry supplies and the authenticity of phytosanitary certificates.
The representatives of the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile confirmed during the negotiations the issuance of these documents and reported that blueberries of Chilean origin are indeed being shipped to the Netherlands for subsequent re-export to other countries, including Russia, in compliance with the requirements of the Russian legislation.
