"Elektrokabel" continues to modernize production
The Kolchuginsky plant "Elektrokabel" (part of the "Cable Alliance Holding", which unites the cable assets of UMMC) installed five new braiding machines in two workshops. The contract amount exceeded RUB 30 million. Workshop No. 4 has three machines designed for braiding semi-finished products of control cables and control cables with copper wires. This type of screen protects the cable from electrical interference and ensures the operation of the automation in the event of a short circuit. Two more machines are installed in the fifth workshop, where the braiding will be carried out with synthetic threads. They serve as additional protection of the cable from mechanical damage, while maintaining the flexibility of the product, which is important when using it in confined spaces, for example, in rolling stock. ...
In the Leningrad region, 737 landfills were liquidated in 2020
In the Leningrad region in 2020, 596 thousand cubic meters of unauthorized dumps were liquidated. This is 7.5 times higher than the volume of 2019. According to the press service of the regional government, in total 737 unauthorized dumps were eliminated in the Leningrad region. 941 cases of administrative violations were initiated. The total amount of fines amounted to 46.5 million rubles. “Fighting with them [unauthorized landfills - approx. ed.], in 2020 we conducted more than 40 operations, during which we detected illegal movement of waste. For efficiency, we constantly changed the location, ”said Sergei Muravyov, head of the inspection department of the Committee for State Environmental Supervision and Control. So, on average, about 40 trucks were checked during the raid. For gross violations, more than 30 garbage trucks were sent to the parking lot.
Revenue of Russian cinemas in 2020 decreased by 58%
At the end of 2020, the volume of the Russian film distribution market decreased by 58.8%, that is, by 32.6 billion rubles, if compared with 2019. According to the website of the Cinema Fund, the total box office receipts in Russian cinemas amounted to 22.8 billion rubles in 2020. A total of 88.7 million tickets were sold. "The decrease compared to 2019 amounted to 58.8% in terms of box office and 59.6% in the number of tickets sold," the message says. The pandemic has played a huge role in shrinking movie theater revenues. Recall that in Russia due to the coronavirus, cinemas were suspended for several months. It is noted that the rate of decline in box office receipts was contained thanks to Russian cinema, which compensated for the absence of foreign premieres in the box office.
