Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Sergey Dankvert held talks with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Smilgin on November 28, 2018 in Moscow.
During the talks the sides discussed the situation regarding the Belarusian establishments that were closed for export to the Russian Federation and those subjected to enforced laboratory control, and concluded that there is a need for more coordinated work by the competent departments of the two countries in terms of laboratory research.
The Russian side re-forwarded to the Belarusian side the test reports for samples of Belarusian products, which revealed violations of the veterinary and sanitary requirements of Russia and the EAEU, and in turn requested to provide the Belarusian test reports of internal veterinary control to the Service.
The issue of lifting restrictions from some Belarusian establishments was also discussed.
