The company restricted possibility to pay for sending notifications with stamps
On 5 August 2019, FAS Commission investigated a case and found that “Russian Post” violated the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”1.
Within the statutory period, FAS will issue an order to “Russian Post” Federal State Unitary Enterprise to restore the situation that existed prior tot violating the antimonopoly law.
The case was opened upon failure of “Russian Post” to execute a warning issued by the antimonopoly body.
In January 2019, “Russian Post” introduced payment restrictions for the service on delivering domestic registered mail to pay only with money, eliminating possibility to pay with stamps.
According to the warning, the company had to remove provisions from its order that restricted to pay with stamps for services, and invalidate another order that established a transitional period for methods of payment for notifications on delivering domestic registered mail.
